Automatic Key Register
In order to use the Automatic Key Generator you must have Avail V16 installed on your PC aswell as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or upwards. If you do not have these versions installed please contact Avail.
When your splash screen tells you that Avail needs a new Licence Key, click the Register button. The splash screen will move to the top right corner of your screen to aid use of other programs. When the box has moved click the Autoreg button. This will open another screen which asks you for your username and password. Enter these details in the appropriate boxes and click the Get Key button. Avail will connect and retrieve your key automatically from this point. If any problems occur in this process a message will appear stating your particular error.
If you have a permanent internet connection such as ISDN or ASDL Avail can connect seamlessly. If you normally have to manually connect to the internet you will be prompted to do so via Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Avail does not currently support Netscape or other forms of internet browsers.
Manual Key Register
To get a new licence key please follow these instructions carefully
If you wish to obtain a licence key at a later stage and need to remove the Avail splash screen for your desktop, press the register button, and another screen will appear, with two red icons in the top right hand corner. Click the close program icon and the screen will disappear. Avail will not be loaded, and you will be prompted next time you boot your PC to obtain a licence key.
Please check your CD Rom for the version of Avail you are using. Ideally, you should have V15.1 installed on your PC. If you cannot find your CD, a quick way of checking is go to your start menu, programs , Avail and click on Avail Suitability Software . This will open up a screen which states the version number. If you are using V14onwards, you can get your licence key here. If not, please load the latest version, or contact Avail for a new CD.
In order to get your new licence key please follow the instructions below. If you have recently ordered the system, your user keys will be available once your initial payment and/or standing order has been received by Avail.
Please read these instructions carefully and follow the steps below
- Once you have printed and read these instructions you will need to click the Get Key link at the bottom of this page. This will take you to a secure area where you can log in and retrieve your licence keys. Please ensure you have your username and password to hand. Without these you cannot obtain your keys.
- You will note that whilst you are browsing, the text box containing the unique serial number of your PC (BCS code) is in the middle of your screen. By pressing the Register button, another screen will appear with two red icons in the top right hand corner. Click the left hand icon and the blue box will move. This will allow you to navigate around your desktop.
- Once you have followed this link, login using your username and password. Now click Submit. This will take you to a secure area where you can view your individual account and update your licence keys as necessary.
- Your secure page will show you how many keys you have assigned to you, how many have been issued and how many days remain for each key. To obtain a new key, Highlight the BCS code from the Avail splash screen on your desktop with your mouse, right click and copy this key. Paste this into the red box on the web page where indicated, and click Get Key. If you manually type in your BCS code into the web site, you must be aware that the codes are case sensitive and do not include numbers and will generate an incorrect licence key unless entered correctly. For this reason we recommend the copy and paste facility as it eliminates human error.
- Once you have clicked on the Get Key command, a unique key will be generated for your use. Highlight this key with your mouse, right click and copy this key. Now, Right click in the space provided in the Avail blue box where it states "enter unlock key" and paste the key in. If you type the Licence key manually into your PC, again this is case sensitive and contain all letters other than the last two characters which are numbers.
- Click the Register button.
- The blue Avail splash screen will disappear and your Avail licence key is now activated
Important Points to note.
If your system is not set to the correct date your licence key will not work . Please check this before proceeding. If you alter your system clock, it can cause a conflict in the system due to the inbuilt security of the system.
The BCS number you input is unique to your PC. If you try to obtain another licence key for the same BCS number a message will be displayed stating that the licence key has already been issued.
